Evergreen Australian Open commentator, Jim Courier, is in town to take on an altogether different challenge: Australian Ninja Warrior
Jim Courier knows how to handle a crowd. The four-time tennis grand slam champion and evergreen Australian Open commentator faced a hostile audience at this year’s tournament while interviewing Daniil Medvedev.
“And not everyone wants to be loved by everyone. Medvedev is perfectly fine if people don’t like him. But I kind of love it about him because he’s just authentic, he’s not polished, not media trained. He’s just going to let you know what he’s thinking and there’s something magical about that.”Australian Ninja Warrior“I’m 51 years old, I don’t get to do a lot of new things in my life from a work standpoint,” he says. “And I love what I do in tennis.
“Why might [a contestant] be struggling on this obstacle? Well, they have a fear of balance obstacles and they’re worried. Or it’s their first time on the course with the lights and it’s overwhelming. Why is someone succeeding?
