Breaking: NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says she will not resign from her position but she feels 'really, really let down' by disgraced former Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the revelations about disgraced former Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire, with whom she was previously in a relationship from 2015, have been devastating and a "personal nightmare".
"He had a go, quite a few many times, but nothing transpired. And I want to say strongly to the people of this state - there is one way - one way - to come to the government to get things done, and that's through the front door, through proper process."NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has been backed by Treasurer Dominic Perrottet and Health Minister Brad Hazzard to remain in the top job.
"It's very difficult for someone in my position to have a private and personal life, and I'm very upset at what has transpired. But I want to make this assurance to the people of NSW - I have always put the public first," Ms Berejiklian said.
