If you were the youngest you might have had to sit up front between your parents. It sounds like an upgrade, until you factor in your siblings in the backseat who took it upon themselves to pull your hair, retreating before your parents could work out who was responsible. Other than issuing the odd threat, the only other thing your dad said for the entire trip was “it’s dry” and “jeez, it’s dry” and “holy smoke, it’s dry”.
As your bladder started to bulge you seriously considered starting another fight with your siblings because you knew that your dad making good on his threat and leaving you by the side of the road was the only way you were going to get to go to the toilet.
