India has moved closer to its historic first human-crewed space mission, Gaganyaan, with a successful test of the emergency escape system of its new crew capsule on Saturday.The test, dubbed TV-D1, was conducted at 10:00 a.m. local time from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on Sriharikota island, off the southeast coast of India.
