Indonesia notified the Australian government it was suspending imports of live cattle from four Australian export facilities on July 30, after cattle tested positive for Lumpy Skin Disease on arrival in Indonesia.Australia remains free of the cattle disease, which has been spreading through Indonesia since it was first reported in March last year.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, pictured at a meeting in Sydney in July, have discussed resuming the live cattle trade.
