A SA coroner is investigating the circumstances surrounding a high-speed crash that killed two innocent women - one of them a senior police officer.

Despite multiple reports from concerned citizens alerting the police to Kitt's erratic driving, he was driving too fast for them to see a license plate number.The inquest aims to determine whether the South Australian Police and the state's Traffic Management Centre possessed the necessary tools and coordination to monitor and intervene in Kitt's dangerous driving behavior.
"We've always had good relationships with SAPOL but we've worked on it over the past few years and we've got great relationships," said Michael Southern, the Manager of the Traffic Management Centre at the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, said.
