An outpouring of grief has followed the sudden death of New Zealand comedian, writer and TV host Cal Wilson at 53. Wilson, most recently seen on Foxtel’s Great Australian Bake Off, died on Wednesday after a short illness, surrounded by family, her management agency said.
Cal Wilson talks about her husband Chris. Wilson leaves behind her husband Chris, whom she married in 2008, and their teenage son, Digby. A regular on TV shows including Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Would I Lie To You, and Spicks and Specks, Wilson often spoke lovingly of her husband, describing him as a “kind human”. The pair met after Wilson moved from her native New Zealand to Melbourne to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.
