Iron Man reimagined as a Roman god.
Iron Man has had countless variations on his armor throughout the character's history, with 2010's Iron Man by Design initiative showcasing new designs across covers for a number of Marvel titles, including X-Force #26, which featured an Atlantean Iron Man channeling the power of Roman deity Neptune, wielding a trident to fend off a deep-sea creature.

"Warrior Lord" Tony Stark Can Handle The Pressure Of The Depths Iron Man by Design gave Marvel artists the opportunity to envision suits that Iron Man might not naturally develop on his own: his Eternals armor, for instance, or his "Pinball" armor.
Atlantean Iron Man Draws Its Main Inspiration From Renaissance Art In addition to drawing influence from the Roman god of the sea Neptune, which gives "Warrior Lord" Iron Man a distinctly European Renaissance-feel, Greg Horn described his inspirations as also including old serials such as Flash Gordon, as well as The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Horn also gave the insight into how his Iron Man by Design work differed from his earlier output.
The Marvel Universe is home to literal gods, as well as individuals like Tony Stark who have raised themselves up from mortal origins to achieve incredible power. Greg Horn's Atlantean Iron Man suit design depicts him out of his element, but adapting to thrive, as is often the character's greatest virtue. It also highlights Horn's incredible artistic ability and eye for detail.
