AFL: Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge admits he is a little nervous as midfielder Tom Liberatore plots a return from concussion.
The AFL’s concussion payout policy is soon to be revealed, according to Herald Sun journalist Jay Clark .

New to Kayo?“Clubs are absolutely crying out for the detail on this concussion policy,” Clark said. “However, if you’ve never had a concussion in your life and sign a bumper contract then that is quite a surprise and unexpected, so the bulk of that would come out of the cap.
“If they don’t have a concussion history and there’s not seen to be a lot of risk, then I think a lot of that money will count outside the cap.”Fellow Midweek Tackle panellist and Herald Sun journalist Sam Landsberger questioned whether or not this policy was fair on the players. “I think it’s a great point because as you say, even if you’re in the pathway system, do you want to be telling clubs and recruiters about your concussion history? I think it’s a really difficult tightrope that players are going to have to walk, for their own medical benefit and health and wellbeing, it’s best that they be front up, but it could cost them dollars,” Clark replied.
