The ski lifts at Tasmania's largest ski field, Ben Lomond, are normally dormant at this time of the year.Ben Mock from Ben Lomond Ski Lifts said the season normally started in July, but conditions were perfect for that to be brought forward."It was so stressful but then we got the tick and it was just a sigh of relief."Mr Mock said the snowy conditions were a good sign for the months ahead.

"We have minors injuries, like cuts, and then we pick up people who are out on the slope who can't get themselves down with broken bones and more serious injuries," he saidAlex Findlater has been helping people on the slopes for years."Growing up around the patrol has been part of what the mountain is to me," he said.'Business is looking up'Coronavirus constraints, a lack of tourists, and not enough snow for skiing meant the ski field has suffered in recent years.
