Oscar winner and Titanic star Kathy Bates has confirmed her new role in the reboot of the legal drama series Matlock will be her final acting performance.
A legendary Academy Award winner and movie star has confirmed her shock retirement from Hollywood will come after she performs one final role in a new TV series.
“Everything I’ve prayed for, worked for, clawed my way up for, I am suddenly able to be asked to use all of it,” she told the New York Times on Sunday. Arguably, Bates is still perhaps best known as Molly Brown in James Cameron’s Titanic alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
