Vaccinated travellers from low-risk countries will be able to travel quarantine-free, while those from medium- and high-risk countries will have to go through a combination of quarantine measures. The country will also speed up its vaccination rollout.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced a “phased”, three-speed plan to re-open New Zealand to international travel beginning at the start of 2022. The plan also includes an increase in vaccination and a self-isolation pilot program.
The country will also speed up its vaccination rollout with all eligible ages able to book in their vaccine by September 1, Ardern said in a speech at a forum about reconnecting New Zealanders to the world. Ardern would not commit to treating Australia on a state-by-state case when international travel starts to pick up, either.

They thought they were the best.“ NSW reported 345 new local coronavirus cases on Thursday, with Premier Gladys Berejiklian warning the lockdownwould be extended by a week due to ongoing cases. Its week-long lockdown was due to expire tomorrow.
