Gang Green forced four turnovers in a 20-14 home win over previously unbeaten Philadelphia
Searching for their first win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the 13th all-time meeting between the two clubs, the Jets stunned the reigning NFC champions. Gang Green's 20-14 victory knocked Philadelphia from the ranks on the unbeaten, leaving San Francisco the lone NFL team without a loss yet this year.
Nursing a 14-12 lead, the Eagles were looking to kill the clock but needed to convert one more third down to salt away a victory. That's when Tony Adams made the play of the day. "It was right on time. He's been great," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh about the second-year pro, who's in his first season as a starter.
With the Eagles needing to go the length of the field in the final 1:46, the Jets' defense delivered again. Hurts completed one pass for two yards over his last four pass attempts. Philadelphia's franchise quarterback was intercepted three times in the loss, posting a 59.5 quarterback rating.
