Reds boss praises goalkeeper David Odumosu as Reds kick season off with a win
Jim Magilton borrowed one of Roy Keane's legendary quips whilst giving his post-match thoughts following Cliftonville's 1-0 win over Portadown on Sunday.
But to be fair to the Reds boss he was quick to heap praise on the Cliftonville stopper for the role he played in earning the hosts all three points in the end. “That’s his job!” quipped Magilton with a smile. “If you don’t take your chances and, especially with the quality they have, particularly with set-pieces where they are going to put balls into the box and you will have to defend for your life, your goalkeeper will need to make saves. It was all of that, a bit nervy but the first game of the season tends to be like that. Overall, I’m delighted.”
