US President Joe Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday morning, is experiencing 'mild symptoms' and has begun taking Paxlovid, an antiviral drug designed to reduce the severity of the disease.
Mr Biden confirmed his"symptoms are mild" and will continue to work in isolation in a video posted on Twitter on Thursday."But I've been double vaccinated, double boosted, symptoms are mild and I really appreciate your inquiries and concerns.
"But I'm doing well, getting a lot of work done, going to continue to get it done and in the meantime, thanks for your concern. And keep the faith, it's going to be okay." First Lady Jill Biden, who is at a school in Michigan on Thursday, confirmed she will continue her duties after testing negative earlier that morning."He's doing fine," she said."He's feeling good."
