Top basketball recruits JoJo Tugler, Keanu Dawes will stay local at Houston, Rice

Tugler is the latest local recruit to join the Cougars. Coach Kelvin Sampson has found plenty of talent in the Houston area in recent years, including Ramon Walker , Tramon Mark , Fabian White and Quentin Grimes , among others. Tugler wasn’t the only highly-touted basketball player to sign Wednesday. Strake Jesuit small forward Jace Posey and Stratford power forward Keanu Dawes signed with TCU and Rice, respectively.
