The award-winning journalist leads a host of changes, which also sees Kathryn Robinson, Rae Johnston and Dom Knight added to the list of regular on air presenters.
Knight will present Drive on Fridays while ABC News Channel presenter Kathryn Robinson will host the Mornings show on Fridays.ABC Radio Sydney has unveiled changes to its presenter line-up, with journalist Hamish Macdonald to take on the Mornings show from Monday.
He has also reported from conflicts in Afghanistan, Libya and Ukraine and covered uprisings in Egypt and Hong Kong."I hope listeners will be able to count on me to hold the pollies and the powerful to account, upholding the great traditions of 702," Macdonald said. "Sydney is such a dynamic city with no shortage of great stories to share, so I'm really looking forward to opening the phone lines."
Robinson, who has been presenting on Radio Sydney over summer, will begin broadcasting from January 31.Dom Knight will present the Drive show on Fridays and the Saturday Mornings show.
