From live-streaming to enforcing QR codes, churches across the country are putting in significant efforts to come together this Christmas in COVID-safe services.

“The churches are filled during the services at this time of the year. After Easter, it’s the second most important event in the Orthodox calendar.” Radhika Sukumar-White, a minister at the church, said many churchgoers have been identified as close or casual contacts. “Our Christmas Eve services will be pre-recorded and then Christmas Day and all our January services will be live-streamed.”Sydney’s Leichhardt Uniting Church
