A Kununurra magistrate has handed Leonardo Gore a jail term of three years and one month after a dangerous and alcohol-fuelled crime spree, which involved a ram raid, stolen cars and police chases.

Magistrate Michelle Ridley granted Gore bail under the strict condition that he lived in the community of Warmun, about 200 kilometres south of Kununurra, with his partner. He then drove the stolen ute more than three hours south to Halls Creek, but when police tried to stop him using a spike strip, he continued to drive on the rim of one wheel after the tyre was shredded.

"You could have stopped your conduct … you continued your path and your offending escalated," she said.
