More than 60 per cent, or 75, are internal promotions, with the other 46 appointed from outside. Four of the external appointments were part of acquisitions. Dr Meg Brodie was named a partner in January and heads Banarra, the firm’s human rights advisory business. Almost one-third, or 34, of the new partner appointments are in the firm’s management consulting business, 25 are in audit, assurance and risk consulting, 23 are in the firm’s mid–market enterprise business, and 20 are in deals, tax and legal. The firm has also expanded its infrastructure team with 14 new partners.
“A large proportion of these appointments were made in technology roles, reflecting demand across the Australian business community, including our own firm, for digital transformation solutions,” KPMG chief executive Andrew Yates said., has also been appointed as the leader of Banarra, the firm’s human rights advisory business. Dr Brodie, 42, was appointed as a partner in January.
