KPMG has almost 11,000 employees, meaning in the 2022 financial year the complaint rate was about 0.9 per 100 staff. “That constant messaging across the firm in the past year has ensured that people are trusting about what we are doing.Nine sexual harassment complaints The finalised investigations led to a total of 11 people leaving the firm, with those remaining subject to a range of punishments including “counselling and written warnings, and impacts to end of year ratings and bonus payments”, according to KPMG’s annual ‘Our Impact Plan’ report.Ms Hisgrove said the firm wanted staff to nominate a “designated responsible person” when they go to social events with colleagues because most sexual harassment complaints stemmed from offsite occasions.

“We’ve put in a retaliation monitoring system where we have a watching brief on any individual who makes a complaint to make sure they are not discriminated against in any way. It’s done confidentially,” she said.
