Kyle Rittenhouse announced a new venue for an anti-censorship rally in Texas on Wednesday just days after his"private reception" event in Las Vegas was canceled.
The Texas event is touted as the "Rally Against Censorship" and was initially slated to take place on Jan. 26 at the Southern Star Brewery in Conroe, Texas, according to a tweet by Rittenhouse."The event will now be held at Lone Star Convention in Conroe, Texas. Southern Star Brewery may have [canceled] we are still going to make this event happen!" he tweeted.

A promotion for the event tells would-be attendees to register for VIP access, where they can meet Rittenhouse, take pictures, and get"swag.""Southern Star Brewery is an apolitical organization, but we feel that this event doesn't reflect our own values and we could not in good faith continue to rent our space for the event on 1/26. We don't do rallies, we make beer for people who like beer," according to the brewery.
Rittenhouse shot and killed two people during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, days after the August shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, by police.He was found not guilty on all charges in the homicide trial against him on Nov. 19, 2021, and he has maintained that his actions were necessary for self-defense.
