Peta Credlin has called out the government for its role in the cash rate rise today – citing Labor's changes to workplace relations, a population increase and climate policies as Australians feel the pain of the worsening cost of living crisis.

“Some of the price pressure is beyond the government's control, like the ongoing supply chain disruptions still hitting us from the pandemic and the de-coupling from China as well,” Ms Credlin said.

"Pushed so that we meet arbitrary targets that are upending our entire energy system, costing us more and more, and damaging our reliability. "We've also seen money coming out of defence ... it's coming out of money that has already been allocated, it's been put aside and it's not doing anything right now.

“Just as with the republic referendum – once you’ve lost, you ought to be graceful and … go on to the next issue,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
