The mean girls controversy has exposed the Labor party as being “divided and weak”, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Whatever you think of the government, the opposition is hardly impressive, it has a Socialist Left faction leader at its helm,” he said.
“With the whole mean girls, bullying controversy, it’s been exposed as divided and weak, just at the wrong time.” The three Labor Senators at the centre of the Kimberley Kitching bullying allegations have released a statement, labelling the claims as “untrue”. The late Senator – who passed away earlier this month from a suspected heart attack – was allegedly bullied by three colleagues, Penny Wong, Kristina Keneally and Katy Gallagher.
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has attempted to justify his decision not to hold an inquiry into the bullying allegations within his party.
