Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is on track to win a third term in government, despite criticism he received for implementing the world’s toughest restrictions and lockdowns in his state during the pandemic.
The latest Newspoll results reveal the Premiers’ satisfaction rating has remained steady at 54 per cent – higher than before the 2014 and 2018 elections.
Liberal Leader Matthew Guy’s approval rating has slumped, with less than a third of voters satisfied with his performance.
