The Albanese government has spent more than $200,000 on a 'secret' advisory panel to the Housing Australia Future Fund, despite the fact the agency has not yet constructed a single home.

The total payments to members of the advisory group reached $200,708 despite the body not having “any decision-making responsibilities”. “Labor’s wasted another $200,000 paying their union mates to sit on do-nothing secret committees," Mr Bragg told Sky News. “Looking after failed Labor candidates, former Labor Ministers and super lobbyists clearly Labor’s priority,” Mr Bragg said.Head of Debt and Alternatives at Cbus Linda Cunningham was also a member to the Housing Australia advisory group.

Asked about the former Labor treasurer’s involvement in the decision, Housing Australia said there were “no records of any discussions with Mr Wayne Swan”.
