Labor has secured a record seventh term in the ACT as the NSW Liberals are on track to lose the once blue-ribbon seat of Pittwater to a Climate 200-backed Teal candidate.

Picture: NewsWire / Martin Ollman New player Independents for Canberra nabbed about 8.5 per cent of the vote with now-Kurrajong member Thomas Emerson joining the territory’s legislative assembly as Fiona Carrick, a separate independent secured the Murrumbidgee seat.
The state opposition managed to retain the seats of Hornsby and Epping, Mr Kean and Mr Perrottet’s former electorates respectively.
