Looking towards next week and the Easter weekend, the Met Office has said more rain is likely

Met Office forecasters have issued a warning for people to "dig out your winter coats" once again as temperatures are set to drop sharply.

The Met Office wrote on X, formerly Twitter, saying: "Temperatures have been above average today, but come this time tomorrow temperatures will be a good 3 to 6 Celsius lower for many. You may need to dig out the winter coat for tomorrow and into the weekend as the northwesterly wind will make it feel colder than the thermometer suggests."It added: "Colder air will filter south over the next 24 hours.

There will be a mixture of sunshine and heavy rain during the course of Saturday before turning cloudier on Sunday and then a band of torrential rain sweeping in on Monday. Meanwhile, weather maps from WXCharts, which uses Metdesk data, shows patches of purple indicating snow.
