Landlords are rushing to throw out tenants who have lost their jobs and cannot pay their rent due to uncertainty over a government ban on evictions, a group representing Victorian renters says.

“But, now, I don’t know what’s going to happen. It leaves me anxious and stressed.”NSW has passed legislation paving the way for the housing minister to ban evictions.
