Sky News host Peta Credlin says she is “not sympathetic to anyone who has seven cracks” at attempting to be classed as a refugee and consistently found not to be.
Ms Credlin said she had worked in government after Labor relaxed border protection and was “mopping up the mess of 50,000 illegal asylum seekers”.
“Suddenly, people like me who have this legal view – pretty tough minded but fair legal view – as seen as immoral and not kind,” she said. “There are people all around the world who would like to come to Australia, the last thing we need are the people smugglers back in business.”
