Previously unseen text messages between Brittany Higgins and her boyfriend David Sharaz show how the pair attempted to gain the support of senior Labor figures as they pursued her rape allegation.
The texts, which were revealed by The Australian newspaper, include derogatory remarks about former Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the direct contact Mr Sharaz shared with the then Opposition leader Anthony Albanese.
The Prime Minister this week denied any collusion between his office and Ms Higgins while Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek also rejected claims suggesting a coordination of questions in Parliament.
