Mark Taylor has raised concern with how Australia's Test tour of India appears to be shaping up after the announcement of an 18-man squad. "I would have liked to see Mitch Swepson play in the Sydney Test. I thought he was our No.2 spinner behind Nathan Lyon," Taylor added. Being a leg-spinner selected for a Test tour of India almost certainly means Swepson is aware of the struggles encountered by Shane Warne in the Asian country.
"The problem with Mitch Swepson is if he bowls at off stump spinning it away, I don't think he'll trouble the Indians that much," Taylor said.
