WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — It has always been a team effort for the El Segundo All-Stars on their journey to the Little League World Series. On Saturday, Louis Lappe and Brody Brooks stepped up when needed most.
El Segundo has triumphed in four must-win games in five days, being put on the brink of elimination afterImmediately after the loss, El Segundo manager Danny Boehle predicted a rematch against the Texas squad from Needville, which he affectionately calls “needles.” Brooks continued to mash as he connected with a standup double in the third inning to advance Colby Lee to third.
