"I get on people's nerves, there's no question about that," Klayman told the Los Angeles Times in 1998.The Southern Poverty Law Centre describes Klayman as a "pathologically litigious attorney and professional gadfly notorious for suing everyone from Iran's Supreme Leader to his own mother." In 2014, Klayman again made news when he filed a lawsuit seeking to have then-President Barack Obama deported from the United States, alleging he falsified his American citizenship.
However, given this year's Barracuda Championship was played the same week as the Open Championship, any top player would be at St Andrews, regardless of any PGA Tour ban.
