Callum Rycroft, 12, was hit by a car on the M62 on August 5
Matthew Rycroft will appear in court today charged with causing or allowing the death of his son Callum on the M62.near Cleckheaton shortly after 9.50pm on Saturday, August 5.
He had been tragically hit by a car in the eastbound carriageway between junctions 25 and 26 as he tried to make his way to safety. The driver failed to stop.Callum's father, Matthew, 36, of Nowell View, Leeds, has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, and with failing to provide a specimen and driving dangerously.Reporter Andrew Robinson is reporting live from court this afternoon with updates appearing in the blog below as they come in.
