Investigations are continuing into the cause of a fire that destroyed a shop in Sydney's south-west.

Sydney bus passengers who may have come in contact with an infectious person were warned to immediately self-isolate. "Think about the impact on the people who were on that bus, the X-39 from the city to the eastern suburbs, all of them have been put in quarantine for 14 days," said Labor transport spokesperson Chris Minns.

Sydney's most popular beach was shut down earlier this year after visitors weren't able to socially distance.
