A lobby group campaigning to make it illegal for coal and gas companies to advertise is yet another example of cancel culture, Sky News host Chris Kenny says.

“They want to treat fossil fuel companies like tobacco companies and ban them from telling us about their role, about their products and services,” Mr Kenny said.

“A spokesperson Belinda Noble is quoted in the Nine Media newspapers as saying the fossil fuel industry is ‘less obvious than smoking’ but ‘it’s also worse than smoking, burning fossil fuels causes more deaths globally then tobacco does’.”
