Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says it looks like former prime minister Scott Morrison had “control issues” over wanting several ministerial portfolios.

It follows the revelation former prime minister Scott Morrison was sworn into five additional ministerial portfolios in secret.

“He thought that minister might do things he didn’t want them to do or weren’t going to do things he wanted – he had to have that backup, that control,” Mr Clennell said. “The chief of staff should be saying what happened if we do this and it gets out, do you need this power? It doesn’t look like that happened at all, it was just enabled.”
