"Our jaws were on the ground, no one contemplated the extent to which the water would rise. It impacted every business we had," he said."Everything around our property that could be broken has been broken."And the clean-up comes with a big price tag. Authorities are discussing how to fix the major road, with the economic and logistical impact on the region likened to the "Sydney Harbour Bridge collapsing"."They will have divers in the water over the next few days to check the bottom of the bridge structure to see how damaged it is. It will be years to build it back up again," emergency services minister Stephen Dawson said.
