A large residential property was destroyed by a dangerous bushfire east of Perth, with authorities investigating the possibility of arson. The Wooroloo blaze, fanned by strong winds, has burned for over 24 hours and consumed 726 hectares. While one unoccupied home was completely destroyed, another five buildings and machinery were also lost. Despite the devastation, the efforts of over 150 firefighters and aerial support limited further damage. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant as the fire, currently stationary but uncontrolled, poses a potential threat.

A large residential property has been destroyed by a dangerous bushfire that has tested emergency crews east of Perth for more than 24 hours, with concerns the blaze may have been deliberately lit. Aerial images captured by 7 NEWS showed how flames fanned by strong winds had gutted the luxury farm home.

The work of more than 150 firefighters and supporting aerial crew has been praised for limiting the devastation in trying conditions. Authorities are also working to determine what caused the blaze, first reported at 2.16pm on Wednesday.
