Lytham couple ditch day jobs for new café suitable for the kids and grown ups
A couple from Lytham have set up their own business "not like anything in the area" to make more time for their family values.
They have three children with a fourth one due in January. Doing something that would entertain both the kids and themselves proved to be a difficult task until Rob and Rhay turned their hand to charcuterie boards. "We knew how special the time that we were spending together was and we do it with the kids as well. So the kids would make their own boards with like chocolate and dessert boards and it became a family tradition really."
"Rob's mum and dad are super supportive and they're close by but not close enough so I know how important is for me to get that time back in the future. We wanted that flexibility as well, we wanted to be somewhere that other families could come in and connect with and we want them to come in and know that it's Rob and Rhay, not just another place that will take your money.
"We're a young family so we want to be available to people who want to come in for a coffee and for those who want to come in for a glass of wine- it's pretty much just how we've enjoyed life ourselves," Rhay said.
