A major bushfire is currently threatening Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory. “We’ve put a request in for crews from interstate using the resource sharing centre that’s managed through AFAC,” Bushfire NT’s Incident Controller David Adam said during a press conference on Monday. “I think at this stage we’ve got a task force on route from South Australia. “So the CFS volunteers are providing some crews and vehicles to come and assist. “In the interim, fairly heavy reliance on property owners who’ve got significant heavy plant and their staff, our bushfires volunteers, Northern Territory Fire and Rescue volunteers, as well as staff members from both fire services.”
