BREAKING: Parents have been told to allow for extra time to drop their children off for the first day of Term 4 after a shooting in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Brisbane left a man dead in his front yard.

Picture: Supplied Queensland Police have warned parents of students the drop off zone has been closed off and to expect traffic when taking their children to school.
"Parents are asked to allow extra time to get their children to school safely, as the crime scene is expected to remain in place past 9am," it said in a statement.
