Transport for NSW released the updated travel alert on Wednesday following a second round of talks with the RTBU on Tuesday about 5.30pm. "Nobody wants this. I don't want this. The government doesn't want this. And passengers certainly don't want this," Ms Haylen told Nine's Today show on Wednesday. The union rejected the government's counter-offer to allow just one train route from Strathfield to Hornsby to run for 24 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
Meanwhile, train service reductions and cancellations are expected from Wednesday on the Sydney Trains Intercity Network due to Protected Industrial Action.
