The rail union has agreed that services will continue as normal tomorrow in Sydney, the original first day of the strike.

The Rail, Tram, and Bus Union originally scheduled a four-day strike from Thursday to Sunday, amid an ongoing pay dispute with the NSW government. But after a 5.30pm meeting yesterday, Transport for NSW said, the ETBU agreed to run a regular train service on Thursday, including the planned additional 80 special event services to Olympic Park for a Pearl Jam concert.However, the strike is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned from Friday to Sunday morning, shutting down the heavy rail network.
Additionally, from today, intercity train services will be affected by industrial action, with trip reductions and cancellations.
