Making a TV show helps Andie-Rose forget about her ill health

This endearing 12-year-old says being a part of a hospital TV program made by kids for kids has 'brightened up her life' and has helped set concerns about her chronic respiratory condition to one side.

Andie-Rose has invisible medical conditions and a lack of understanding among her peers often means she feels isolated and lonely when she is well enough to attend school.It makes the tissues of her trachea "floppy" and means the now 12-year-old has spent much of her childhood in and out of doctors appointments and hospitals.

Watching herself back on Juiced TV, Andie-Rose "felt very proud of herself" — especially as she was learning to speak English after having just returned with her family from Bali. "Juiced TV is kind of like a family to me, and being sick gets lonely and I know that when things are difficult or I'm feeling down, they'll be there to brighten my life up.

"Every day's a new day, and every day might be our last, for everyone, so I feel like you always need to get the most out of it, and that's what I do.
