A man has been charged over a car crash in Melbourne that injured five people including a teenager who suffered a head injury. 9News
Gulet Ahmed, 40, from Essendon faces multiple charges over the accident.
His Volkswagen Passat allegedly collided with a family's Alfa Romeo, which spun out of control and hit two pedestrians on Lygon Street in Carlton, near the CBD yesterday.Police said the two-vehicle collision on Lygon Street in Carlton came after a Volkswagen Passat was seen driving erratically. The family in the Alfa Romeo suffered serious injuries with a 16-year-old girl rushed to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.A couple from Carlton, a 42-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, were both taken to hospital with injuries after being hit while walking their dog.One of the men suffered a broken pelvis and fractured skull.Victoria Police have said they're expecting to make more charges, and are planning to recreate the crash.
