A 40-year-old Sunshine Coast man has been charged with murder after the body of a male was found inside a property in Brisbane's inner-south.

Police discovered the 61-year-old deceased male at a unit on Vine Street in Stones Corner about 1am on Friday after being called to perform a welfare check. Detectives investigating the male's death later located the 40-year-old man on the Sunshine Coast, where they arrested him just after midnight.Police are pictured outside the Stones Corner unit on Saturday.
