A court has heard that a 59-year-old man who allegedly crossed the SA border into WA had his application for a travel exemption refused earlier this year.
A 59-year-old man accused of illegally crossing into Western Australia via an outback dirt road has appeared in court.
The Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court heard that Rikard Buzinkic had applied for a travel exemption in June but was refused. Police alleged he entered WA from South Australia this week and attempted to cross the Nullarbor on a dirt track known as the Trans Access Road.Police prosecutor Senior Constable Kirsten Addiscott told the court the man's car ran out of fuel near Forrest, and he was spotted by a train driver.More to come.
