A man has allegedly used a syringe to steal a doughnut and cash from a Melbourne doughnut shop, threatening two young workers.

The man managed to steal cash and run away down Dandenong Road, forgetting to keep his mask on as he fled, police said.Detective Senior Constable Steven Hemingway said the workers were not physically injured but were "quite understandably" distressed.
"It's a despicable act this person has done because this will affect the victims for quite some time for years to come," he said.He is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, grey track pants, a black leather jacket, white runners, a black beanie and a black mask.
